Governance before acceleration
New technology should move fast only after leaders define ownership, accountability, acceptable risk, and the decisions the system is meant to improve.
Point of Thought
Point of Thought brings together more than a decade of public commentary on higher education IT, institutional leadership, cybersecurity, AI governance, equity, and digital transformation.

Established Platform
Point of Thought is my long-running platform for examining technology leadership, higher education transformation, cybersecurity, AI, institutional governance, and the evolving role of IT in mission-driven organizations. It connects three parts of the work: CIO practice, doctoral research, and a public intellectual identity that has been developing since 2011.
New technology should move fast only after leaders define ownership, accountability, acceptable risk, and the decisions the system is meant to improve.
AI, cybersecurity, and modernization investments should be judged by operational proof: time saved, incidents reduced, services improved, and decisions clarified.
Inclusive leadership is not a slogan. It shows up in access, training, representation, support models, data practices, and the way institutions distribute opportunity.
